I'm desperate to find a good carpenter that knows Rehau HPL laminate and Rift cut real oak laminate. I'm in Los Angeles... any recommendations? Yelp? image

Critique my pocket hole placement: It's my understanding that the screws are strongest in shear and pulling to the opposite side from the pocket hole. Screws in tension (wanting to pull out) are not as strong and screws in shear but pulling toward the hole-side of the board are the weakest.
