Looking for confirmation/suggestions. Customer purchased cheap prefinished cabinets, hired us to build a raised back to the island (bar height). She wants the back face to be skinned in the prefinished panels they purchased. Since I have about 41" of height to skin, I was going to cut these panels and install them vertically since the prefinished panels are only 24" wide but 96" long. I'll have to use 3 of these cut panels, which means I'll have two seams. My plan was just to use scribe to cover the seams and keep it clean. However, I wanted to hear from other guys in the trade to see if you've done it differently. Normally people are asking us to lower their counters, not raise them. So this is a first for me. Is this the best route, or am I missing something?
