How do I punish an opponent sprawling or pulling back a leg against my ankle pick attempt? I am thinking of going for cross ankle pick if he pulls back a leg while that leg is midair. If he does a sprawl (while I do ankle pick attempt), I am thinking of snap down. Would these work feasibly?

What are the benefits of going low level attacks and risk opponent being sprawled on top of you as opposed to sticking with high level attacks only. Is it the element of surprise and variety?
