Hi all, sorry to bother but I really need some advice about this world, since I’m new to all of this. I’ll explain myself better.
My husband (male 39) and I (male 34) have been married for 6 months, but we have been together for 5 years and half. We have been in an open relationship for 4 years, a year after we started being together and decided that a monogamous relationship wasn’t for us. My husband has always been against polyamorous relationships, this until he started talking with his best friend with whom he had a row 6 years ago, before we even met. With this person he always had some up and downs, they have been best friends/lovers/whatever, but they have never been together seriously. Then this person started a relationship in his own and my husband met me, and for a period they didn’t talk to each other. Now they have been in contact again since January, and my husband is very happy about this. My husband’s friend (let’s call him Danilo) as I said is in a polyamorous relationship, and his partner has a boyfriend. Long story short, Danilo and Erik (let’s call my husband this way) felt in love and Erik told me about this, even though he was always against polyamorous relationships. I am quite ok with this situation, I know Erik loves me and I love him, but I feel like there is something not entirely right. I feel like I should have struggled a bit more, or not? I don’t know how to feel about this. Is it normal? Is it possible that being in an open relationship for so long I might have already opened my mind this much so I can accept without problems this situation?
Has anyone of you been through something similar? Do you have any advice on how to properly manage this situation, this feelings?
I hope I made myself clear, English is not my first language.
Thank you so much to everyone who will read this!
