People pleasers in poly

Post Body

I'll admit it, I'm a people pleaser. I just want to do everything I can to make everybody happy, especially when I love and care about people. This can be challenging when boundaries require the fortitude to say No. If I say no then they might not be happy and the sky will fall. That's how it feels sometimes.

I have a small library but does anyone have any recommendations on resources (books, ebooks, websites) that address the challenges people pleasers face in poly? Anybody willing to share their personal experience is awesome too since it's not a constant feeling for me but when it pops up it's so awkward. Be nice to know I'm not a lone weirdo.

Edit to add: I'm grateful for the responses and I'm reading and considering everything that's being shared. It's exactly what I needed, both the harsh truth and the not being alone. You made me happy I posted. ❤️
