This is probably not news to most of you, but mainstream media doesn’t seem to do a great job of depicting relationships that fall outside the mononormative spectrum, whether that’s polyamory, relationship anarchy, consensual non-monogamy, etc—let alone healthy examples of these kinds of relationships.
I can only think of a few examples: - V/Lana/Kev in Shameless (although I’m not a fan of the OPP dynamic, but I like the fact that we see not just the sexual aspect of their lives as a throuple, but also get a glimpse into their everyday lives, which are sometimes just as mundane and routine as any mono couple) - Ilana/Lincoln in Broad City - Nadja/Laszlo in What We Do in the Shadows
With this in mind, does anybody have any recommendations for TV shows or movies that provide a positive representation of healthy non-monogamous relationships?
