Working on a Polyamorous inclusive app/site. Need help with how real people want to specify relationship status.

Hey all!

I've been working on a dating/meetup app/website that has quizzes and personality tests you can answer to give you a match percentage with other users for the past year and have just launched on Android last week. I have a few Polyamorous users and through messaging them, looked into how FeeId, #Open, and OkCupid are allowing Polyamorous users.

We currently have a page where you can set your relationship status as one of the following: * Monogamous * Non-monogamous * Open to either

If you select Non-monogamous you can pick one of the following: * Non-monogamous single * Non-monogamous with partner(s)

I know that's not inclusive or even very correct, so I'm hoping to get a better understanding of how the non-monogamous community would like to select and display their relationship status.

I want to add options like, Polyamorous, Ethical non monogamy, Open relationship, but I'm not sure what the hierarchy of these are and whether you should be able to select more than just 1 option.

I appreciate the help and thank you! If you're curious about testing the app, you can take a look at /r/DateFirefly
