How much strength/muscle can I expect to lose on a four week lifting break?
Post Body

I made a post the other day about having to potentially take time off due to mono, and surprise surprise I got the lab results back and I have it (ladies love me, what can I say;))

Aaaanyways, the doctor said I can’t lift for four weeks (at the very least, we will reevaluate after then). I’m gonna listen to her orders, not tryna burst my spleen or anything. However, I’m pretty scared about how this will impact my physique. Mono didnt kill my appetite, but my throat hurts so much I can barely eat any calories. My maintenance is around 2300-2500 as a 5’4, 147 lb 22 year old dude, and I’ve been tracking my intake over the past few days to be around 1300-1700. Not enough to maintain muscle. How badly will these four weeks impact my body? Should I try to eat at maintenance, or a slight surplus?
