Quickly gained ~4 lbs from switching from cut to maintenance. Is this normal?
Post Body

About a month or so ago, I hovered at around 144 lbs (I’m not extremely underweight as I’m only 5’4 haha DONT worry) and decided I was cutting for long enough (had been working on a slow but steady cut for the past year or so and was losing fat still). I decided to give myself a break and bump up from ~1800kcal per day to my current average of around ~2200, while keeping my lifting routine consistent. Surely there’s no way I gained 4 lbs this quickly with it being fat, right? Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this when ending a cut and entering a maintenance period? My muscles do look fuller but my face (and neck) look puffer and I just look more massed.
