I find I get caught up in my mind and I fixate on the content of my thoughts sometimes. I find I get too self aware of trying to not engage with them and pay attention to them. I know I’m not my thoughts but I find I go through times where I’m able to let go my thoughts but other times I’m not. It’s like I’m too self aware that I’m engaging and paying attention to my thoughts. I guess this causes resistance and judgement. It’s like I’ll get thoughts about not engaging and paying attention to my thoughts but it causes me a lot of anxiety and overthinking. And it overall gives me a hard time to not react to negative thoughts. It’s just I find it strange that I can let go of negative thought easily at times but other times not so much. Any tips or advice?
