Is bulking to add muscle and then restricting calories later a good strategy for significant weight loss?
Post Body

I’ve struggled with weight my whole life. Even as a pretty serious runner, I’ve just never been able to get to a point where I felt thin. So, recently I decided to start lifting seriously for the first time, thinking it might help me feel better about having a bigger body. So I found a good beginner’s powerlifting program about a month ago and I’ve been having some success. It would still be nice to eventually shed some of the excess fat though. Will having the extra muscle help significantly if I decide to start restricting calories again later?
