I never thought Iād be able to say this, but I broke up with sugar. It wasnāt easyāthose first few days were brutal. The headaches, the cravings, the constant temptation to just have āone biteā were all consuming. But every time I felt weak, I reminded myself of the version of me I wanted to become. I started swapping sodas for water, cakes for fresh fruits, and slowly, I felt my energy returning. Each small step forward felt like a tiny victory.
Now, years later, I barely recognize myselfāin the best way possible. Iāve shed the weight, not just from my body, but from my mind. Iām stronger, faster, healthier, and, most importantly, happier. The best part? I feel free. Free from the highs and lows sugar used to control me with, and free to live the life Iāve always wanted. This isnāt just about being fit; itās about finally choosing me.
