I've been off of sugar for around two weeks, and although my brain seems to continue craving sugar a little everyday, the actual physical sensation of sugary things..grosses me out(?).
I opened a bag of muffins a while ago, and even one smell made me feel a little nauseous. Likewise the idea of ice cream (my favourite), cakes or other dessert makes me feel a little sick imagining the texture and flavour now. Is it some strange placebo I-can-do-without-better-yet-I'm-100%-fine mental projection, or have other people experienced this?
I still have the cravings for sweet things in my head, but when I open a box or smell something that sweet, it just turns me off of it almost entirely. It's kind of bizarre to me. It almost shows me how much I anticipated the sugar dopamine over the actual food itself. Is this a common experience?
