Hi, I (33 M, India) am almost in a relationship, the girl is very intelligent, beautiful, sexually crazy(important for me)... We haven't yet met as she is in a different city but over our 'limited' conversation I have realised that she is a good person... We have many similarities but a few differences (which is a healthy balance according to me)...
But the problem is that she is kind of conservative, her opinions about expression of love is that of an old school Indian, where it should be limited to the bed room... Her political opinions are also an issue, she borders on the ideology of pride for her religion... Which as of now seems manageable but I am worried that this pride might turn into bigotry against other religions, based on the way our current politicians are behaving...
I am more than happy to accept these differences, but she is of the opinion that people don't change, by this I understand that she doesn't expect herself to change...
I on the other hand am extremely liberal, I believe in diversity of mind and life choices... Not saying that I would live with anyone, but I wouldn't have a problem with people living their lives as long as they aren't harming others... I too have my flaws, and she is accepting towards those..
So the question is, how much do such political differences impact a relationship?
