Hello all,

This may be a little abnormal as it doesn't exactly pertain to my current relationship; though I genuinely hope this is where it goes.

I was thinking the other day of ways to propose in a memorable way and I'd like to know if the consensus is if its over the top or a good idea/start. I understand that it is subjective to the person and their preferences/tastes, but I think this current girl would like it and that's kinda what Im basing it on. I also wish to add that I understand these undertakings won't be cheap and I am prepared for that, I would be happy so long as it is memorable and makes her feel special.

So, my idea was to spend the end of the year in Europe, visit London over christmas, spend a few days in Paris then head to Vienna for New Years and attend the New Years Eve Imperial Ball (provided I can get tickets, which would be the crux of this venture) and propose to her at/after the ball. I'd love to find a way to fit a trip in on the orient express, but I do not find that to be a MUST.

I welcome any additional ideas, input, and considerations I may have overlooked. I understand it'll be cold, as I said, its a work in progress and nothing is set in stone
