Long story short, my boyfriends mom is the absolute devil and i hate her. Everytime we leave over night she insists on sleeping at our house to watch the dogs.

Background: she used to live in the house im living in now until i moved in. She took months of rent money from my bf and instead of paying the rent was giving it to some guy and was arrested for grand larceny and cc theft and is now been paying off her fines. She can not be trusted and has stolen from me as well. The issue is my boyfriend has a son who she babysits regularly amd is very close to. If she doesnt get her way she threatens to not watch him and threatens my boyfriend saying she will tell the judge every little secret and force him to lose custody to his ex.

I am well aware shes rhe devil but my bf and his son are everything to me so i deal with her bs.

We are going away for a wedding and shes insisting on sleeping at our house to watch the dogs. Even when we told her my mom will as she lives 5 houses away she ends up making it a huge problem. She lives back with her dad about 45 min from us and passive aggressively makes it known that she just wants a place to stay thats not her dads.

I need to lock my bedroom door from the outside so only i can get in when we return. I dont want her going through my things and sleeping in my bed. Even saying she cant stay will not matter. She has a key because she watches our son and brings him home after school and she would just wait for us to leave remove the ring doorbell and do as she pleases as she has always done. I could not get a padlock and we leave tomorrow and now have no time. Anyone k ow how to lock it from the outside so only i can open it back up when we return? Please its really important my grandmothers keepsakes are kept there and even tho my moom took the jewlery i know she will still steal anything she can find.
