Bf and I had been together for 2 years. It was all laughs and giggles until I noticed he never has money and he keeps changing jobs, now he's actually jobless. I tried breaking up with him because I was tired of paying for everything when we go out, plus he eats my food when he stays at my home for days (he's 31 and lives with his parents). We went back together but he didn't change that one thing that I don't like about him.

It took me a while to accept that I love him for who he is and not for what he has BUT since I met him, he keeps making stupid promises about getting me things... like an expresso machine, a portable dishwasher, an iPad, and is not like I ask him for those things, he just sees I need something and says "I am gonna get you one soon". So far, none of these promises he has kept. He's gotten me things during Christmas and my birthday, but not even the things he promised. That is just annoying me every time he makes a new promise (like yesterday, he said he was going to save for a nice trip with the money he's making on Uber, but we went to get food and I had to pay for it "since he couldn't Uber during the weekend because he was spending time with me"). Idk, it makes me re-think if I really want to be with someone that can't even keep a job, not to mention a promise, while I am super hardworking and I'm very congruent with what I say what I do.

At this point I don't even know if this is love anymore. But at the same time I know I will miss him if we break up cause he's a nice guy, with a big heart, he loves me and we have a great connection.
