Locked out for 2 hours
Post Body

I just need some unbiased opinions, background me (24f) and my gf (23f) live together and have been together for nearly 6 years. We're not particularly good at cleaning up but to an acceptable level. I went to take out the trash because it was starting to smell and neglected to grab my keys or phone. My building is electronically secured and if you don't have your thob your not getting in unless someone let's you. Now it's 1 am when I took out the trash and realized I didn't have a way in, I didn't panic because I thought my gf would notice that a 5 minute task was taking too long. But she didn't notice, I tried throwing rocks at our window (ala Say Anything minus a boom box) no luck. So out of pure desperation I try my neighbors I knew best and by the grace of God my elderly neighbor friend opened up and let me use her phone. When I got inside I'm pretty upset but I didn't blame gf even though I'd apparently been outside for 2 hours and she didn't notice. I told her what I just explained above and something she said stuck at me. I told her I was upset because I locked myself out and her response was it's not a big deal and retreated back into the bathroom. Now I'm still pretty pissed but it was my mistake and don't blame her for not seeing I was gone. But how she so nochalantly dismissed my frustration has me really upset. What should I do?
