So me(24f) and roommate Moth(29m) are both poly and have been living together for almost 7 months now didn’t really know each other before that had met once for like literally 20 seconds in passing. He is currently dating my ex friend(23nb) Squish and they’ve been together for almost 10 months now. I have known Squish for almost a year I became homeless and Squish asked Moth if I could stay with him and his 2 roommates until I got back on my feet(which unfortunately has been difficult to achieve)

Anyway 2 months into living with Moth I decided after noticing how terrible of a friend squish, which admittedly took me 3 separate friends telling me how shitty they were to me to realize, I ended mine and squish’s friendship for my mental health. So ever since then Squish has hated me i.e telling one of Moth’s other partners that I was a terrible person which thankfully reflected more on their character rather than mine and me and the other partners are still friends, when my mom passed just a couple of months ago Moth was there for me through everything and kept me distracted which included cuddling while I cried( moth cuddles with all his friends totally platonic) but previous to me ending mine and squish’s friendship they had totally banned Moth from cuddling or dating any of their friends(they didn’t even want me and moth to hug for too long) so since me and squish weren’t friends anymore and my mom just passed Moth figured it was fine and squish and moth if me and him had cuddled after my mom died and he told them yes and they were pissed and told him that he also couldn’t date or cuddle their ex friends even if someone died so that really solidified my disdain for squish

Fast forward to a month ago me and Moth were hanging out and something happened to make me ask moth if he liked me and he just shrugged and said idk 🤷‍♂️ and I left it at that but a couple days later I had a small chat with him once again asked him if he liked me said the same thing and I followed that by asking something along the lines of if he did what would that mean and he replied saying he would have to tell squish and he didn’t sound like he liked that prospect and I told him that I would give him a bit more time. Also after figuring out that he possibly likes me I started to realize that I liked him too.

Anyways my question is if I should ask him next week which would be a month since saying that I would give him time or since things are pretty rocky between them although things are on the up for them if I should wait for them to end things or if y’all have any advice
