TL;DR: BF hasn’t really messaged me in two weeks. A response twice to two of my messages but nothing else.

I know that this is probably has a chance of the answer being: Break Up With Him. But here’s the outline.

I (21, F) Been dating BF (23) for four months now. He’s always had issues with texting - he’s dyslexic, so replies don’t come frequently usually. Sometimes we’ll talk for a few minutes full on conversation and then he’ll go for a while and that was the pattern. It was okay cuz he’d get back to me after a while. A day or so.

But now, he’s got a new job and working lots of overtime - and he hasn’t properly texted me and I haven’t seen him in nearly two weeks I.e since last week Monday. I’m trying not to get upset at him or blow up because it usually makes him shut down but he doesn’t even call or anything. And it makes me sad. I would feel if you had a girlfriend you’d at least want to hear from them every once in a while but it seems like it’s not a priority to him.

I’m not sure how to address this. My instinct because I’m avoidant (i.e I tend to like to find any reason to leave) is to just cut it blank, and leave him. But I want to talk it over with him. Though I also feel like I shouldn’t have to make him like me or act like it if he doesn’t - and now I’m wondering, if he really does like me, is there something else that might be the reason for it?
