So I'm supposed to have dinner with my wife's best friend and her boyfriend. Aside from them being way too PDA, her friend is "quirky funny" or at least that's how she sees herself. As I've got to know her more, the more I find her extremely irritating and unfunny. In a group setting, I can stand small doses, but a 1-on-1, I have to force a smile and nod along. So do I tell my wife I hate being around her best friend, or is this one of those things where I just need to put up for my wife's sake?
Edit: I should add that my wife can get very defensive about her friends
Tl;Dr I don't like wife's friend, unsure of how to approach it.
