Hey guys, while I've spent a while passively watching this subreddit, this is my first time posting on here. Yesterday, I (18m) happened to see one of my less close highschool friends (18f) who I happened to have a small crush on back then show up on my recommended on Snapchat. I decided to add her in order to reconnect since I've moved from Georgia to California for college and I drifted apart from my high school friends when that happened. To my surprise, she added me back, so I went ahead and started chatting with her. It was nice to talk with her about what she did after high school and share what new hobbies we started. Eventually she had to call it quits for the night and went to bed. I'm hoping to rekindle our friendship but I'm afraid to end up being clingy, especially since we won't be able to see each other in person until I go back to Georgia during the breaks. If things go further than friends I'm fine with that too, but for now I think becoming closer friends is the best way to go. Any suggestions on what I should do?
TLDR; I saw a high school friend online and reconnected with her. I'm afraid to come off as clingy when trying to reconnect.
