TLDR: Me and this girl (both 17) went to homecoming when my friends asked if we are dating she asked me if I was telling people that, should I leave it alone or ask her if we really are dating?
So me and this girl recently started to hang out more. I asked her to our schools homecoming about 2 weeks before and she said yes. In the weeks following we texted and occasionally hung out both at and away from school (we went to spirit Halloween and I drove so it was just us). We kept getting closer and are still to this day. On homecoming night she was really exited to be with me and her friends seemed really accepting of me being their (from what I could tell). We shared a few intimate moments when we danced together like holding hands while dancing. The DJ didn't play a slow dance song and we both seemed disappointed (I especially was since I was hyping my self up all day to dance with her) so that seemed like a good sign that she seemed to want to do that with me. After the dance and the days following (I'm writing this the week after the dance) we still kept getting closer to each other. So today after school I was walking out to my car with her and her friend when her friend ran ahead to talk so some of my friends whom she is also friends with. She came back to us and said that my friends asked her if we (me and her) were dating. She didn't seem to have a negative reaction to it and the only thing she said was if I was telling people that we were dating ( I haven't told anyone that) and I told her no, that I wasn't. I don't know if I'm reading to far into this because we have only been "together" for almost a month so I'm just wondering if I should leave it alone and just give her some more time to think about us or if I should ask her about this.
