How to live in the moment in a relationship when you want to move deep inside to be back with family? How to bring up the Moving conversation?
Post Body

Iā€™m 26F and heā€™s 30M. His family is in the Midwest and mine is in Boston. We live in Texas and have only been here 2 years.

I just moved in with him to a new apartment we picked out together but Iā€™m feeling so unsettled, possibly because the relationship is seemingly much more serious now (been together for 1.5 years). But I know I want to be closer to my family whenever I ā€œsettle downā€ and also Iā€™m realizing I donā€™t really care for Texas with all these new laws.

We both moved here for opportunities in tech and have good jobs. But Iā€™m just unable to live in the moment and not sure what to do. Iā€™m pretty sure he mentioned to me he wouldnā€™t want to move to the northeast (when he originally said that when we met, I didnā€™t think much of it because I didnā€™t think I did either) but now my goals are changing.

Iā€™m in a weird predicament and not sure what to do or when go even bring this up. We just moved less than month ago into our place together so I feel itā€™s too soon.

TL;DR ā€” been with boyfriend for less than 2 years, and now realizing things I want in life are slightly different from when we met. I want to move out of Texas in probably like 2 years, to live closer to my family on the east coast. His family lives in the Midwest. Not sure what to do.
