Getting over a break up?

Gonna try and word this as best as possible. So I (M22) split up with my ex girlfriend (20) we weren’t together that long, about 7 months. But it’s been 3 months since we split up and I still feel absolutely awful, she meant everything to me. I’ve tried to talk to her and make things work but she’s just not interested. I don’t think I’ll find someone that matches her and I think that’s what scares me most like everything about her was perfect, I still don’t get what went wrong. Has anyone ever felt like this and has it got better? Did they find anyone else when you didn’t think you would?
