Been with my girlfriend for over a year. We met when i was married and i broke it off with my wife to be with her. My current girlfriend has daddy issues and she puts everyone ahead of herself. Fast forward, now shes 23 and i believe its all catching up to her.(issues were before we met) She says she just wants to run away from it all. She says she doesn't want to deal with any of it. She works a crazy amount because she says people need her and she feels validated being needed. We are at a point where we have talked about splitting up because she doesn't want me to be in this place where she cant decide what she wants. She has not told me to leave or that she wants it to end. She is starting to realize that her own mental health and self being is at stake but she wont take the steps to fix herself. She says its too much effort or that she doesn't know what to do. I talked to her about therapy as an option and she says she is interested but in her own time. So this question is for people who have went through this or for women with similar experiences. What was the outcome? Did you get better? What did you do to get better? She says she wants me to be happy. I feel like she is pushing me away but all i want to do is be there for her. She says she doesn't know how to be happy?
