so i don’t really have trust issues with other people but when it comes to my girlfriend i hate going to parties where we’re both invited because:

1) she always thinks i’m flirting with other girls when they’re just close mates. i’ve explained to her that they’re just friends, that we’re just messing around, and that i’ve got no feelings involved. the first time she did this was over her best friend where she said that me and her bestfriend “got along really well” and “seemed to enjoy each others company” more than me and my girlfriend and it just opened my mind to the fact that i should be weary of how she acts around my friends if that’s how her head views flirting.

2) after the best friend situation there were a few occasions on my side of things. one time i was drunk as fuck and i was with her and my bestfriend at a park and i could hear the both of the laughing their heads off and getting along and i just got in my own head about it and ubered home. then another time my best mate tapped her knee after making a joke and they were also laughing and getting along really well and i just left that party. it’s always when i’m too fucked up to say anything about it but i just can’t get the thought out of my head that she flirts with him because he’s exactly like me but taller n better looking so theyre a perfect match and they always get along so well.

the reason i can’t bring up reason number 1 with her is that she’s gonna see that as me getting permission to basically flirt with who i want which is gonna result in her flirting with my friends as revenge (she knows that jealousy is one of my weak points and she will do this if i talk to her about it. and i can’t talk about reason number 2 because that builds up my best mate as this “forbidden fruit” she can’t have so she’s more likely to want him even more.

someone help me please this is destroying our relationship because for example we got a party tomorrow that she wasn’t invited to and i was so keen on the party then she asked to come and it just fucking ruined my day and i spent the whole day making up situations in my head where her and my bestfriend are flirting and i’m so sick and tired of it.
