I (28M) met a girl (25F) over social media. We’ve been texting pretty much daily since April 2020. It’s currently long distance, she lives on the opposite side of the continent. We have exchanged some pictures, but mainly talk and support each other during the pandemic BS. We have been so confident that we will make it that she’s talking about relocating after the pandemic and even tossing the idea around of marriage and family.

I’ve been struggling with self-doubt and frustration lately as the financial ramifications of pandemic have really messed with my ability to deal with life. I’ve been expressing that self doubt and disappointment with basically having my hands tied.

I asked if we could talk on the phone or video chat as I am hoping it’ll help re-energize me a little. She doesn’t want to video chat and hasn’t been able to express why not. Now it’s thrown a huge wrench into our communication and I’m afraid this’ll unravel what we have.
