My girlfriend (25F) and I (25F) have recently rekindled things after dating for about 8 months in 2019. We were broken up for a little over a year, and in that time she had found a sugar daddy. She says she never had sex with him -only dinner and sharing a kiss here and there (I trust her on this) and has made a good amount that has helped put her through school. I’m usually a pretty open-minded person, and we’ve even talked about open relationships, but we both had hurt each other in the past, and I believe we need to invest our time in healing and earning trust before anything like that happens. That being said, she asked to see her sugar daddy for dinner this week because she needs the money and insisted it would be a harmless dinner, but I can’t help but feel upset about it. I feel like I would be open to it down the line, but right now I can’t shake these feelings of insecurity and apprehension. Because how long can a sex-less sugar daddy/sugar baby relationship last I genuinely don’t know? Am I being selfish for making it about me? I know she needs the money and I hate being in a position where my ego is potentially keeping her from that.
