Background: So long story short, this girl I had been seeing and I friendzoned each other back in Sept. Both agreed to be friends, but usually never the case (in fact, didnt even wish me Happy Birthday). Early October, she texts me something about school/extra-curriculars (and after talking to some people, she def used it as an excuse to reach out and test the waters), but I responded neutrally. Late October, her best friend in class during this one kickback asks me randomly if I am seeing anyone. Ive been pretty good friends with her bestie for a year and a half now, but she has never asked me that before until now, nor gotten any romantic vibes from her (I even have her besties number but we never flirt with each other via text, almost always about school). Then her bestie suggested we “all” do something (not exactly who “all” is referring to. Plus my other friend told me last week apparently the girl I was talking (the girl I had drama with) is “single af”. Thoughts about this? Right now, Im just proceeding with caution. Btw her bestie hasn’t been texting me in general since, which further enhances my theory that she was trying to gain info.
