For background, me (23m) and my ex-girlfriend (23f) broke up just over a week ago because of some things I did. She was really angry, and has completely cut all ties and blocked most forms of communication with me as far as I can tell.
She has just been made unemployed and is going through a really difficult time. As far as I'm aware she doesn't know that I know this. However since finding out I am feeling weirdly guilty even though her loss of a job has nothing to do with me, and I assume would have happened regardless of us being together.
I feel like I really want to help her. This is not because I think helping would make it up to her or make her forgive me for what I did. The fact of the matter is just that the I care about her a huge amount, and the idea of her falling on hard times makes me quite upset.
Is there anything I can do? Am I crossing boundaries by seeking out a way to contact her and asking her if she needs any help? I'm not sure how I could help but I have enough money that I suppose it would help her to be less stressed about meeting rent and bills for a short period of time and also any emotional support she may need I could help her with?
