What can I do?
Post Body

Hey. So as I’m sure many of us has experienced, we all have had some cut to our salary or job. I’m back to work but my employer cut my salary by 50% as we ease into working and reopening. So I live with my girlfriend. Now she is so upset with me that I am “not doing anything “ about my loss of salary during this pandemic. She’s upset and is turned off by me because I cannot pay for her hair and nails and take her out and go on vacations and buy her gifts. Those are her words last night. I asked her if she loved me and she said it has nothing to do with that. Never got an answer. I’m starting to feel that she is with me not because I’m a good man to her and her kids but because what I can pay for. It’s a shitty feeling. She also tells me that she wants to be taken care of like she used to be taken care of. She said when she was married her her ex paid for everything. I will say that her ex also made lots more money than I do. He owns his own business. I told her that I do take care of her within my salary. I cannot pay with monies I don’t have. I want to know what experiences you have had in a situation like this. I’d like to hear from both sides. From a woman’s perspective and your girlfriend has told you this too and what you did. Thanks.
