Going to try and keep this kinda short and I also may refer to my girlfriend's mom as my mother in law but we aren't married yet. And we have 2 kids ...2 year old and a 7 years old

So my girlfriend's income tax (~$4000)was suppose to come in but for unknown reason it hasn't and we getting behind on bills (the reason for getting behind is not important I don't think) so we had to ask a friend for 2000 and my girlfriend insisted we pay them back when income tax does get here and I voiced why not see if we can do payments so we have some extra cash....

The reason being is half of that $4000 we are giving to my mother-in-law that lives with us. Because we borrowed 2000 a couple months ago because of... (don't get me started on that)

So that leaves us nothing left and I need 600 dollars to get my driver's license and it already got passed up last year during income tax for other reasons. And we need to pay for my girlfriend's summer classes/books etc.

I am currently working away from home because it's just kinda where my job is before we moved to where we are now (alittle north of Houston) and I am missing so much with the kids and the added stress on my girlfriend cuz I am not there to help out. I also pay most of the bills ... mother in law pitches in 300 a month from her disability and my girlfriend works part-time but barely makes enough to pay for gas.

We only have one vehicle so my mother-in-law wants to one for herself...mostly to go joy riding because if it's doctors appointments my girlfriend would be home and she can use her car. Also doesn't have alot of extra money to put gas into a car if the had one (insurance is paid by someone else)...it's only the 10th and she is broke.

I am arguing that I need 600 out of mother-in-law 2000 to get my licenses...it's hard to get a decent job that doesn't require and driver's licence even if you aren't driving.... I am convinced that it is more importantfor me to get my driver's license so I can get a decent job back home...than it is for her to get a car she's not even going to use that much because it won't even have any gas in it....

But nobody sees it my way or get the point that I'm trying to make she's convinced that she needs a car...I'm not saying we don't still pay her back later but right now I need that money... And I'm getting very mad at my girlfriend for not siding with me...to the point where I say screw it and keep the money I make till I get 600 then start paying bills again but that's an Ahole move...

Am I in the wrong? If so please explain...

Or how do I present my case better? I am getting very frustrated with the whole situation and to top it off she decided to end our texting conversation with "nevermind"

And if my girlfriend would go along with us paying the recent 2000 loan in payments instead all of it with the income tax TDLR: I think you get my driver's license is more important than my mother-in-law getting a car but can't convience my girlfriend or my mother-in-law
