Hey Reddit! I'll try to condense the backstory as best as I can so it's not a book, but I'll answer any questions in the comments more detailed. So I've been talking to this girl for collectively 6 months now. Originally we had talked back in January to about May. We hung out once at her dorm and I stayed the night after she asked, as well as fooling around with each other that she had initiated. Afterwards we had something else set up to hang out at her dorm again but she backed out because her best friend came out as gay, to which I was bummed but totally understanding. Nothing else happened with us hanging out wise because we were both super busy. But something I've always had an issue with is talking about feelings in the latter part of us knowing each other. We stopped talking because we couldn't make time for each other and she was gonna go off to law school and stuff didn't feel necessarily the same.

So in the past month I was messing around on Bumble and saw her profile and texted her and was like hey crazy how you're the first profile I saw on there. And she responded and we immediately hit it off again like before. Earlier this week she told me when she got off work that she broke up with her boyfriend through text, which I had no idea she had because she had been receptive of my subtle flirting I had been doing. So we had plans for last night set up to go and meet up somewhere and hang out and then had a fun bit where I asked her through text about cuddling with her and watching a show together. So last night she texts me and says sorry I'm seeing my grandpa right now but we can do stuff later if that's fine, and I'm like sure. Gets later on into the evening and she isn't saying anything so I ask her if she's still in, and she says I'm sorry I suck. Which is still fine, I totally get like that sometimes where I could cold feet.

So I sent her a long text just kinda telling her how I felt, and like where we stood because she seems receptive of wanting to do things with me but then she gets cold feet when it comes time. I thought it was okay to do that because we had a past, and if she doesn't have interest in me then that's fine. I'm more than happy to be friends with her but not carry empty feelings. To which I got left on read and I texted her in the morning saying sorry for annoying if you I did, hope you slept well. Which she eventually replied and she said it's alright.

My issue is, I want to ask her again but not at the risk of her pushing her away because I do like her a lot and it seems like she is too until it comes time to do things but I would like to know why if I'm doing something wrong. What should I do guys, normally I can take a hint if someone isn't interested but maybe I'm missing something here.

TL;DR: Talked to a girl before, but we stopped due to us having schedule issues. Started again but having a hard time seeing where we stand because she has cold feet with doing our plans.
