[28/m] My long distance friend (39/f) just blocked me for seemingly no reason
Post Body

So, I've known this girl for a couple of years now. We briefly tried dating, but live 4 hours apart, and it never really took off. But we remained pretty good friends. We had a little incident a couple of months ago, where she was a little drunk and was trying to tell me about something serious that happened to her, but because she was drunk I thought she was joking. I felt like a dick, apologized, she forgave me, and we moved forward. Tbh, I don't know if that has anything to do with what's going on now, but it might, so I figured I'd throw that in there.

Last time she texted me was on the 1st of this month. At that time, she was trying to take off work to come visit me for a special event I was planning. She couldn't make it, which I get, because it would've been an even longer drive. Since then, I've sent her a few memes, one story of something that happened to me, no response. We follow each other on IG, and she was still actively posting on there, but just not talking to me. I asked if she was upset with me. No response. I get on IG today, and she's blocked me. I tried calling her and it went straight to voicemail. I honestly don't know what's going on. I am worried that she may have gotten back together with her abusive ex and he may be forcing her to break contact with me. But that's pure speculation on my part.

I'm hurt and confused and a little concerned. I am friends with one of her friends on IG, though we've never met. Would it be a bad idea to ask her friend what's going on?
