My (23M) fiancee (23F) is constantly getting mad at my lack of communication while playing video games.

So we both love playing video games and in the beginning of the relationship, I did the same thing and we actually stopped playing games together for around 2 years. I improved but we are currently playing Borderlands and I'm doing the same thing again. I forget conversations, focus on the game entirely, and ultimately end up pissing her off. Anyone have any advice on how to improve splitting my focus between the two?
