I'm moving house and my gf doesn't like my choice of home.
Post Body

Due to my father coming to live with me next month I've been put into a situation where I have to find a bigger property. He's mobility is getting bad and he's having trouble walking so I'm looking for a suitable home in a short space of time. I currently live in a one bed apartment and it's just not big enough plus I have a young son who stays with me once per week. I've found a first floor flat which is in my price range, close to my son's school and big enough. I've held of telling my gf because I know how she can speak her mind. I discussed it with her today and straight away she started being negative saying it's too small. I told her im applying for it and sent her the advert. She's said she doesn't like it and it's not nice and it's too small. I'm not sure how it can be too small when I'm currently living in a one bed apartment and this is 3 bedroom. I'm feeling apprehensive about moving in the first place and this has just made me feel a little worse. She said it looks depressing and old.

She doesn't live with me and we only see each other once or twice per week so it's not like she is living with me or paying bills or rent.

I actually feel quite down now and thought she could be supportive or at least a bit more understanding. I'm all for people being honest with their opinions I just hoped for a bit more understanding or constructive critism.

Any advice? Should I just say thanks for your opinion and get on with it because I feel I've not got much choice given the situation.
