Hi.
Met this girl online and went out for coffee today. I think we're a great match (as in, the best I've ever met) when it comes to personality, values and life goals, and I want to pursue a relationship. However, one issue kept raising its head: she's Christian (Anglican) and I'm agnostic (although at least one of my parents is Anglican, and I've been baptised).
Both of us knew this before meeting up, but I asked her outright if it was a dealbreaker and she admitted it could be (comes from a religious family and only ever planned on being with Christian men, but considers them a rarity).
Obviously she felt okay enough about my beliefs to make an exception and agree to a date (and I'm fine with hers'), but I'm unsure how to proceed. I certainly didn't expect our religious differences to be such a roadblock.
Does anyone have experience/advice for dealing with a situation like this? Any guidance would be appreciated.
TL;DR: Date is religious, I'm not. Possibly a dealbreaker. Do NOT want to lose her because of it.
Update: Lost her because of it.
Huge thanks to everyone who offered advice.
