For a variety of reasons, I've never kissed a girl sober. My shyness when sober gets the best of me and I don't know how to initiate physical contact (or indicate that I strongly desire it). Dates themselves go great as does meeting girls at parties and bars. It's when we're wrapping up the night that nothing happens.

If I do see girls multiple times, I just can't figure out when it's appropriate to go in the for the kiss. Conversations seldom pause and I have a tough time dealing with silence when I don't know the person well. Dates usually end with me offering a hug, a goodbye, and then me quickly turning to walk home because I don't know what else to do. Usually things fizzle because nothing romantic happens...or we actually become just friends....

So serious question, how do you initiate a kiss?
