This is something that I am having trouble figuring out. She is someone that has a great personality and is always trying her best, but she is blaming herself for being the common denominator for issues she faces with her family, at work, and in online MMOs.
Family: nothing she does is good enough for her parents even though she is contributing way more than what the average child would, in terms of money and filial piety
Work: her boss is difficult to deal with and constantly gives her terrible schedules
Online MMOs: she is extremely skilled (moreso than me) and likes helping teams clear raids, but she constantly finds herself in situations where the party is constantly making dumb mistakes and wasting her time. When she decides to leave the group, they start blaming her for not having enough patience even though other members are the ones holding everyone back.
Main question: how can I make her feel better and let her know that it is not her that is the problem, but rather other people who (to me) are taking advantage of her ability and her giving nature? She is not really open to therapy. I have tried telling her to distance herself from such negativity but it isn't easy. If you can deduce any of her personality flaws from what I have typed, please let me know as well.
I apologise for keeping things vague. Thank you for any input you may have. I may be biased but I really wish I can help her see that she is not the issue.
