My (23F) Boyfriend (29M) is being cold and distant after an argument :/ how can I fix things?
Post Body

An ongoing issue in our relationship has been that he makes abrasive jokes and I take them literally and end up crying or getting upset. A week ago, I bought laundry softener instead of detergent and he kept harping on it the rest of the day. Then before bed he made a comment along the lines of ā€œhow was the laundry detergentā€ and I asked what his problem was. He said he was going to stop joking with me and that I take everything too literally and cry too much. I was shocked and didnā€™t say anything and went to bed. For the past week heā€™s been cold and distant borderline ignoring me. Iā€™ve communicated my feelings and asked him to elaborate on his but he gets very defensive and makes it out to be that Iā€™m the problem and that heā€™s not going to joke with me anymore and that heā€™s helping me ā€œget over itā€ by doing this. Iā€™m so upset and frustrated I donā€™t know what to do. The vibe is off and I just want him to go back to normal. I hate this! How can I fix things?
