My boyfriend and I have been together now for 5 months. He's been great help to me especially so early on l've been dealing with a lot of personal issues (losing my job and basically being homeless for a month) his mom helped me get a new job which is really great but l've been feeling like a freeloader because they have funded and supported me through everything this past 30 days. While I was out shopping with his mom for clothes for my orientation, he was going to send me 50 dollars and he did. But before that I was in the dressing room and decided to just send a 100 dollar request to this guy who used to send me money all the time. I thought just requesting to send it would be harmless because there isn't much communication? He doesn't text me or anything. He replied with 1 dollar and a note with his phone number, saying that if I text him he will send it. The next day I told my partner about it and he just got so upset and it's now something | completely regret doing. He says that Ive basically offended him as well as cheated and I'm just idk. I've never cheated on any of my partners, nor him. I tried to see how he'd feel about me getting money from this guy because of my situation but he says he gives me everything so. I just need advice on how we can move past this.

For context the guy and I hooked up once 4 years ago and that was it. We’ve never seen each other again but he would send me money and we’d have sort of a sexting situation. Never really any photos involved. My boyfriend is very stubborn everyone knows this. And he’s also very sheltered. I have a past that I can’t even really tell him about because of how sheltered he is, he gets bothered by a lot of the stuff I USED to do. I’m just having such a hard time and everyone tells me I’m in a good healthy relationship but I fear I don’t know how to navigate it.
