My partner (M25) is the kindest most genuine guy I know. He’s always willing to help me and give thoughtful advice. However, I’m horrible with accepting his help. I get mad, frustrated, and feel like he’s belitting me. I tell him off for being controlling and manipulative. In reality, he’s respectful and gentle. He’s supportive of my struggles and hardships. He’s really helped me to grow as a person and get back on my feet.
For example, I’m in a rough spot career wise. Always hitting walls and not getting anywhere. He’s well experienced and knowledgeable in his field yet I feel he’s condescending. When in actuality he’s not. How do I got about changing my mindset to accept his help?
