My [26m] fiancé [25m] gets upset when I don’t literally fall asleep at the same time as her.

I’m 26M, she’s 25f… been together for 5 years.

We constantly argue and fall out because I’m a night owl. I work a lot, I have two kids. It’s nice to have some quiet alone time at the end of a day.

My fiancé gets upset when I stay up later than her. She guilt trips me into feeling bad about it, and basically uses the situation as a crutch on our entire relationship. If I start staying up late a few days in a row, she acts extremely shitty and condescending towards me.

I guess I’m trying to figure out why this is? Does anyone else have this problem? It seems a little overly-controlling.
