I 23F was texting my fiance 22M last night while he was out with his friend. He ended up sending my a snap of him shirtless with the front of his pants pulled down trying to be sexy. He didn’t notice that it had “snap recap” at the bottom of the picture and the username was a different name from his own. I asked him who this person was, it was a male name starting with the same first letter of his name.

He first said he doesn’t know how it got there, then he says he edited it, then he says it’s a picture that’s years old. It’s not. At the bottom of the picture along with the username it tells me when the photo was taken. It was taken in august of this year. He then tried to show me the app he used to edit it and you can’t even edit photos on that app. He then said he edited it because he was insecure about his teeth and was depressed?? He also tried to throw out that it was from when he got his new hat that’s barely even in the picture???

When he got home he was so ready to be dumped and seemed like he didn’t care. We had a huge argument and he was going to leave but I asked him not to (stupid of me I know) but now that I’m thinking about it, it just doesn’t make sense.

We’ve been together for 5 years and nothing like this has ever happened. He keeps saying “if I wanted to leave I would just leave” but whyyy do you have that username at the bottom of the picture? Is there any other excuse? I’m really trying to wrap my head around this I feel like I’m going insane. I sort of want someone to be able to prove me wrong. I just can’t think of a normal reason to change his name? I’ve also never seen this picture before and as far as I knew he didn’t take pictures like that without sending them to someone.

I’m sorry if this is a mess my head is just so fuzzy and I’m so confused. We’ve always been there for each other. Everyone thought we would be together forever and so did I. But now I don’t know what to do.

TLDR : fiancé sent me a picture with a different Snapchat username at the bottom. None of his stories make sense.
