My boyfriend of almost 15 months hasn't got me anything for my birthday yet. My birthday was about 3 days ago and he did say happy birthday to me on the day of it (we couldn't see each other in person, but he was nice enough to message me it). Mainly due to it being Christmas and our distance. I'm seeing him next week, but my anxiety has got me feeling like he might not have got me anything?

I suffer a anxiety often.

What's weird is that a few weeks before my birthday, he initiated or hinted that he was going to give me a present. But he never brought anything up since then.

It's making me feel a little under the weather and I don't want to keep it hidden as I love celebrating birthdays. He's my first boyfriend so not sure what to expect. How can I confront him?

I'm not a materialistic person nor do I feel like he is obligated to giving me a present but I'm just feeling crappy somehow that he didn't. Maybe because I gave him something for his birthday or ... just because I've not seen him yet

FYI my birthday was at the start of us knowing eachother so I didn't mention a thing. I'm not used to celebrating birthdays outside my family.

I do want to mention it to him as I don't want to go through this every year, it is important to me and one day when I hope we have kids I want them to also feel gifted
