How can I [27M] cope with a lack of alone time living with my gf[25f]?
Post Body

My gf and I have been together 4 years and have been living in a small one bedroom apartment for 8 months. I love her dearly and love our time together, but I've always been someone who needs time alone to kind of recharge. Our tiny apartment and schedules mean that the time I get to myself is very limited. There's not really anywhere for either of us to go, the apartment is basically a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. So when we're both home, we're together, and our schedules have us leaving and returning home around the same times everyday. Lately it's been causing me a lot of irritability, which isn't fair to her.

I realize I might sound like a bit of a jerk, it's not that I don't want to be around her, I just miss having time to myself. Have any of you been in a similar situation, and if so, what did you do?
