My girlfriend went to a work colleague’s birthday party where most of her team was in attendance. She proceeded to get blackout drunk and was falling over a lot. Her friends being concerned about how she was getting home tried to order an uber for her but she couldn’t remember our address in the state she was in. One of her other work colleagues at the party lived close to the party, about a 2 minute walk away, and he offered that he had a guest bedroom she could sleep in. She didn’t want to take him up on this as she wanted to come home to me and not make me worry. Apparently she had fallen down some stairs at the party and at this point, one of her work friends and his girlfriend, along with the guy who had the guest bedroom carried her to his house. The friend and his girlfriend left my girlfriend to sleep in the guest bedroom. From there the guy tried to kiss her and ended up taking her pants off, he didn’t take it any further as he saw she has a lot of pubic hair as she has only been with me for the last 3 years. He apparently looked disgusted at her, then passed out asleep and she ran out and called me and i ordered her an uber home.

She came home with no shoes on and thought she had left them at the party. She told me that the guy tried to kiss her, but not about the other stuff. I originally assumed it happened during the party but obviously it was worse than what she originally told me. The next shift she worked, the guy asked her if she wanted her shoes back, and she asked why he had them and he just laughed. She came home and told me that he had her shoes and not the person who’s party she was at, so I was confused and questioning her as all I knew at this point was he tried to kiss her. Then the next day while on call with her sisters, she was very sick at this point, she told one of her sisters that her being sick was “karmic” and when asked why, the other sister said she was “play ups”. This got me even more confused and I believed she had cheated at this point. I kept asking her about it and she was just saying that the “play ups” meant she was too drunk. Anyway on Saturday night, she told me she remembered more of what had happened and told me the story of him kissing her and removing her pants. I was very angry and wanted to kill this guy, but she was crying and clearly upset about it so I was supportive and I’ve been trying to get her to report it to management but she is very reluctant to do that as he’s only 20 so he’s a “kid”. I don’t believe age is relevant in a situation like this and he should rot in the ground.

She told me she confided in an older work colleague about it, and he ended up facilitating a conversation between my girlfriend and the 20 year old, to which he denied taking her pants off. At this point I think she just needs to report him and get him fired, as she is at work today and he is also on shift and she’s very uncomfortable to the point of considering quitting. I just don’t know why she won’t report him and she’s worried about his age.

I am seriously considering confronting the guy myself or reporting to her management on her behalf, but I don’t want to make her more upset or make things worse at work. But she is very uncomfortable working any shift with him now and I think this just needs to be resolved
