There's this girl who started where I work for the spring season a few months ago now.
We've always gotten on pretty well, she smiles at me, is super friendly, compliments me and sometimes even jokes around with me.
At lunch time she sits inside on her own and keeps to herself so I've been sitting with her a lot more lately (I asked if she was okay with that and that I understood if she preferred some alone and quiet time and she said yes she was). I'm normally a very quiet person that can never contribute much to any conversation but I can talk to her very well, so I've been enjoying sitting with her at lunch and actually talking to her rather than sitting outside with everyone else and saying nothing.
At work, she has received some unwanted attention from a couple of men which is very disappointing. One of those men is no longer working there thankfully, but last week I told her that I'll look out for her in case it continues or gets worse (I'm a very polite and non-confrontational person so if push ever does come to shove with that then I'll definitely be put to the test)
When work quiets down, she already knows that she'll have to leave for another job as there won't be enough hours for her to survive, so that's when my plan comes in to say to her "Hey, so I was just wondering if you would like to maybe spend a bit more time together or maybe see each other for a while?"
