We’re planning to get married, and although he wants kids sooner, he’s willing to compromise because I want to finish school and be financially stable first. My mom had a mini-stroke without using contraception, so I’m at higher risk, and I told him I’m not willing to take the pill once we’re done having children. I asked if he’d be open to a small procedure, a vasectomy. He said no, I don’t have to take the pill, and we can just avoid risky periods like the beginning and end of my cycle and during my period. He even asked if I’d want a vasectomy, but I’m willing to carry and birth his children, yet he won’t do a simple procedure? I don’t know if he’ll change his mind; he’s pretty stubborn, but I know for sure that after we’re done having kids, I don’t want any more. I’m terrified of the whole process, but I’d do it for him.
It's his body you can't force him to get a vasectomy. Just use condoms.
